Philbin Returns to 'Millionaire'
Regis Philbin will host "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" starting on Sunday.
According to New York Daily News, the 10th anniversary of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" will premiere on Sunday on ABC with the return of Philbin. The show will air on prime-time television.
"Millionaire" will celebrate its anniversary for 11 nights on Sundays through Thursdays, Buffalo News reports. Philbin, who has temporarily replaced Meredith Vieira, said he has adjusted to the new features in the show, including time limits on the questions and the newest lifeline, where each contestant can ask an expert for help. Additionally, a celebrity will answer a question for $50,000 each night for charity.
Detroit Free Press reports that "Millionaire's" anniversary premiere will stand up to the likes of other well-received shows. MTV's "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew," CBS's "There Goes the Neighborhood" and Comedy Central's "Roast of Joan Rivers" will have new episodes on Sunday night.
