Tara Reid to star in indie buddy film

Tara Reid will star in indie comedy entitled "Last Call" opposite "Transformers" star Travis Van Winkle and Ryan Hansen, who was in the 2009 remake of "Friday the 13th."

Actress and well-known bad girl Tara Reid is set to star in the indie comedy, "Last Call," a film where Travis Van Winkle and Ryan Hansen will play cousins that are forced to run the family tavern.

According to an article on HollywoodReporter.com, "The supporting cast includes Christopher Lloyd, Tom Arnold, Dave Foley, Diora Baird, Clint Howard, John Capodice, David DeLuise and Richard Riehle."

"Last Call" was written by Scott Donnelly and Erik Lindsay and will be Greg Garthe's feature directorial debut. The movie will be produced by Shannon Riggs and Joe Di Maio alongside Donnelly and Garthe through their Mineola Films. David Dobkin and Spence Jackson will be the film's executive producers.

Prior to his becoming a director, Garthe was a creative executive at Dobkin's production company, Big Kid Pictures.

Shooting on "Last Call" has already begun in and around Los Angeles.

Reid's previous movie credits include starring in the 1998 Jeff Bridges/John Goodman comedy "The Big Lebowski," the 1999 Jason Biggs/Chris Klein/Alyson Hannigan comedy "American Pie," as well as its 2001 sequel "American Pie 2." Van Winkle's credits include starring in 2007's "Transformers," the 2008 war comedy "Meet the Spartans" and the 2009 remake of "Friday the 13th." Hansen's credits include being a cast member on The CW's teen drama "Veronica Mars," as well appearing alongside Van Winkle in 2009's "Friday the 13th."
