Tom Brady May or May Not Play in Preseason Game

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is hopeful about playing in Thursday's game against the Eagles, but it is not confirmed.

It remains to be determined whether or not New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady will play in this Thursday's preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Brady missed out last season when he was injured with torn knee ligaments. The quarterback is hopeful about participating, stating that he's been practicing and there seems to be no reason he shouldn't play. Ian Rapoport of BostonHerald.com reports that Patriots owner Robert Kraft almost confirmed Brady playing, saying he would bet "a thousand lottery tickets." Coach Bill Belichick simply stated he would do what's best for the team, although apparently the coach and quarterback have not yet had the discussion. The quarterback missed preseason games last year, which he indicated may have contributed to his subsequent injuries. This would be the first live action of Brady since his knee surgery last October, besides guest starring on the popular HBO series, "Entourage," this past Sunday.
