MacFarlane Reveals Stewie's Sexuality . . . Sort Of

Seth MacFarlane discusses some of his more controversial episodes never aired.

Seth MacFarlane, creator of the hit animated series "Family Guy," nearly outed the famed character, Stewie, in an episode that made it to the script phase. In a recent interview with Playboy magazine, he said that Stewie was in fact gay and they thought of an episode where he retaliates from attacks at school by going back in time and changing a passage in Leviticus that negates homosexuality as an abomination. MacFarlane chose to go with a more vague concept, but stated that Stewie will either be a homosexual or extremely repressed heterosexual (this might explain all the aggression towards mother Lois).

MacFarlane is known for pushing the boundaries in "Family Guy." He also discussed an episode in which Lois must decide what to do with a deceased couple's baby inside her as the surrogate mother. The result: abortion. The episode never aired but is expected to make it to DVD.
