Bollywood Star Detained at Airport

Shah Rukh Khan claims he was racially profiled.

One of India's biggest movie stars, Shah Rukh Khan, claims he was racially profiled by security at the Newark Liberty International Airport, Friday.

Khan, 43, was traveling to Chicago for a celebration of the Indian independence day on Saturday.

"I was really being hassled, perhaps because of my name being Khan," the actor said after being detained and questioned for two hours. "These guys wouldn't let me through."

The "King of Bollywood" said he was waiting for his luggage when security pulled him aside after his name appeared on a computer screen.

"I did not want to say anything just in case they took everything wrong, because I am a little worried about Americans because they do have this issue when your name is Muslim," Kahn said, according to the the New York Daily News.

The actor recently inked a deal with Fox to distribute his new film, "My Name is Khan," which tells the story of a Muslim man wrongly accused of terrorism in post-9/11 America.
