Jackson's Resting Place Revealed

After about two months since Michael Jackson's death, the Pop Icon will finally be laid to rest.

An announcement was made on Tuesday revealing the final resting place of Michael Jackson. The King of Pop will be buried at the Great Mausoleum at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, confirmed a spokesperson.

The burial will take place on what would have been Jackson's 51st birthday, on August 29. It will be a private ceremony, starting at 10 a.m., with only close friends and family attending.

Despite the Neverland Ranch being the first choice of Jackson brother, Jermaine, the idea was turned down due to Jackson's abandonment of the ranch in 2005 following his molestation charges. The singer vowed never to go back.

According to the Associated Press, Spike Lee will be hosting a block-party-like celebration held in Brooklyn on August 29 on behalf of Jackson's birthday.

Jackson died June 25, with his public memorial held on July 7 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
