Beatlemania Part Two

The Beatles have been American musical icons for decades, and even with the death of band members and new career moves for others, fans still can't get enough of their legacy.

According to CNET, September 9, 2009 will mark the release date for Rock Band's new installment of the video game titled, "The Beatles: Rock Band," and the release for a digitally re-mastered CD box set of the entire Beatles catalog. There is also a rumored event created by Apple, which many believe could be a new product announcement, concert or special appearance by Paul McCartney or Ringo Starr.

There have not been any confirmed reports of special events occurring on that particular day in September, but fans of the band are hoping for something spectacular.

If the box set and game are all that get released in September, fans have been waiting for the highly anticipated release of the CD collection for years. The entire re-mastering project took close to four years to complete, and the songs were perfected at the famous Abbey Road Studios.
