And the winner of 'Top Chef Masters' isÉ

As the dust clears and the knives are put away, two cooks walk away while one wins the title of "Top Chef Master."

The finale to the "Top Chef Masters" competition was between Michael Chiarello (specializing in Italian food), Hubert Keller (specializing in French), and Rick Bayless (specializing in Mexican). The battle was of both chefs and cuisines.

After the cooking was finally over, one man prevailed: Rick Bayless. Bayless has made his culinary career by bringing Mexican food into the fine dining world, retaining its integrity while showing that it is a cuisine that deserves respect. The win did not come easily though, with a rice dish of overcooked seafood, Bayless was not sure of his victory.

However, the judges were willing to let all mishaps go once they tried his 27 ingredient mole, a dish he tried as a teenager that inspired him to cook. In addition to winning the title, Bayless also wins $100,000 for his charity, Frontera Farmer Foundation.
