Mohammed Hashan "Didn't Care Who Lindsay Lohan Was"
Who is she? Is she a star? I'm no celebrity. I'm not nothing. I'm only a restaurant worker, Mohammed Hashan, 27, told reporters on Friday while describing an incident that had occurred between himself and "Mean Girls" star Lindsay Lohan.
The dispute began on Thursday evening when Lohan entered the Mott Corner Deli in Manhattan. After reportedly paying $5 for a 50-cent cup of ice, Lohan had forgotten her BlackBerry behind as she was leaving. Hashan spotted the phone, grabbed it, and rushed out to find its rightful owner. When he noticed Lohan getting into a cab, he asked her if the phone was hers in which she claimed it was. Hashan then requested that she have a friend call the phone to prove that it was. After an unsuccessful attempt to reach the BlackBerry was made, Hashan asked Lohan to come into the store with him to review the security tape for proof. Lohan reportedly cursed at him and made a grab for the phone while one of her companions called the police.
"She went nuts," Hashan said. "She said, 'Don't you know who I am?'; 'I'm calling the police! I'm going to arrest you for not giving me my phone!'"
The police eventually arrived on the scene and determined that the phone was, indeed, Lohan's and returned it to her. "I was just trying to be honest. Now I have police and trouble already," said Hashan.
