LeAnn Rimes public appearance with Eddie Cibrian

After the country singer LeAnn Rimes made her first public appearance on Thursday with her Lifetime movie, "Northern Lights," co-star Eddie Cibrian, she got into a minor accident.

The Los Angeles police questioned Rimes at her home after she was accused of a misdemeanor hit-and-run in Los Angeles's Brentwood neighborhood around 7:45 p.m.

Rimes's spokesperson told People, "There was a routine police investigation into this incident, and a police report was filed. We are confident that this matter will be resolved shortly and LeAnn will be cleared."

There weren't any injuries from the accident.

Even though the accident was minor, Rimes has been the spotlight of tabloids when she was caught on camera on a date with Cibrian. They were both married at the time. Rimes split with her husband later, but there was still denial about Cibrian being separated, then his wife announced their separation in July. Thursday was the most public outing for Cibrian since he and his wife separated.
