Michael Jackson's Mother Praises Vienna tribute
Michael Jackson died June 25, and, according to the Associated Press, Jermaine Jackson and the World Awards Media are planning an international tribute concert. The tribute will take place at Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna, Austria, on Sept. 26.
Michael's mother, Katherine Jackson, wrote a letter to the public praising the tribute and explains how the event will benefit the fans by giving them a chance to celebrate The King of Pop's musical career. Jackson believes her son would have loved and welcomed such an event for his fans.
E! Online reports Madonna, U2, Whitney Houston, John Mayer and Lionel Richie are rumored to have been invited to join the show. However, the promoters and Jermaine Jackson have yet to confirm or release the roster of performers for the concert, nor have they commented on which artists have been invited.
Tickets are on sale, and 10,000 tickets are already sold.
