Chris Brown and Rihanna's Previous Disputes
Hours after singer Chris Brown was sentenced to five years probation Tuesday, Us Magazine received reports that allege he and ex-girlfriend Rihanna had two previous "domestic violence" incidents prior to their February encounter.
The first occurred in Europe three months before the Feb. 8 incident, when Rihanna and Brown were in a verbal dispute. According to the report, she slapped him and he shoved her into a wall.
The second incident occurred three weeks before Brown's arrest for beating and threatening his ex, when the former couple was in Rihanna's native Barbados. The two were driving in a loaned Range Rover when they entered an argument. Brown got out of the vehicle and allegedly broke the driver's and front passenger side windows. No one was injured.
On Tuesday, a judge sentenced Chris Brown to five years probation and six months community labor. Brown must stay 100 yards away from Rihanna unless they're attending a music industry event. If Brown violates any terms of his probation, he could be sent to state prison.
