Bob Dylan Christmas Album to Help Charity

The rock legend will feed the hungry with profits from his first ever Christmas album.

Bob Dylan will sing Christmas standards such as "Here Comes Santa Claus" and "Winter Wonderland" on his first ever Christmas album this fall with proceeds going towards feeding hungry during the holidays.

ABC News reports that all royalties from "Christmas in the Heart," due out on Oct. 13, will be given to Feeding America, a hunger-relief charity which estimates that it will provide 1.4 million people with meals this holiday season from album proceeds.

"Christmas in the Heart," Dylan's 34th studio album, will be released just six months after his last effort "Together Through Life," which reached the number one on the Billboard 200. The album was Dylan's fifth entry in the top spot, and second in a row; 2006's "Modern Times" also debuted at number one.

Dylan, 68, recently finished touring a series of minor league ballparks. The "Like a Rolling Stone" singer received a Pulitzer Prize last year for his impact on popular music and American culture.
