Dylan to release Christmas album for charity.

Bob Dylan's first Christmas album, titled Christmas in the Heart is scheduled for release sometime in early October, according to the artist's website.

All of Dylan's U.S royalties from the album are going to be donated to the charity Feeding America, according to MercuryNews.com. Feeding America provides meals for many of poor Americans, feeding over 4 million people during the holiday season.

A full track list has not been revealed, but based off of initial song titles Dylan seems to be covering many traditional songs. Tracks include "Here Comes Santa Claus," "Winter Wonderland," "Little Drummer Boy," and "Must Be Santa."

The reason for doing the album is simple; according to Dylan his reason is to "join the good people of Feeding America in the hope that our efforts can bring some food security to people in need during this holiday season."

His latest album, Together Through Life was released last April, selling more than 300,000 copies in the United States alone.
