Ax Man Arrested for Crashing Car, Injures Children

Mike Pihl, owner of the Mike Pihl Logging Co. that was featured on the History Channel's show, "Ax Men," for two seasons, was arrested Wednesday night after crashing his car into a ditch, causing it to flip several times. His three children were in the car with him, and each sustained an injury of varying severity. One of them, Matthias Pihl, 3, sustained a head injury but it is not life threatening.

Upon his release from the hospital, Mike Pihl was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and third degree assault. Police have revealed that there was alcohol in Pihl's blood, but because the accident occurred on his private property, he is not being charged with a DUI.
