Sadness Leads to Charity
28-Aug-2009

The Travolta family started a foundation in memory of their son, Jett.

John Travoltas 16-Year-Old Son Dies Suddently from a Fatal Seizure

The Jett Travolta Foundation was established this year after the death of John Travolta and Kellly Preston's son Jett died at age 16 on Jan. 9. Preston told Montel Williams in 2003 that Jett was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease at age 2. Jett also suffered from asthma. After the tragic loss of their precious son the pair opened a foundation in his name.

The foundation is specifically there to help children with disabilities of vision, hearing, communication, behavior learning impairments or other special medical, environmental, health or educational needs. They also teach about environment and provide help to those who are victim of natural and man made disasters.

The Jett Foundation is striving to help children in many disadvantaged situations.

A very sad situation, but he will be remembered not only for who he was but also for all the foundation has done and will do for others!
