LeAnn Rimes Announces Divorce

Country singer, LeAnn Rimes, 27, is getting a divorce from her husband, Dean Sheremet. She announced the news on her website Tuesday morning.

Sheremet and Rimes met while he was her backup dancer. They were married in 2002. However a week ago she went public with her romance with Eddie Cibrian, her costar on the Lifetime movie "Northern Lights." This romance also caused Cibrian's marriage to fail, as his wife, Brandi Glanville, has also filed for divorce.

However, Rimes and Sheremet seem to be departing on good terms. According to her post on her website, Rimes said that "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, [Dean] and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage. This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support - it is deeply appreciated."
