The Beatles: Rock Band video game and the Beatles' 12 albums digitally remastered release on Wednesday, September 9.

The Beatles: Rock Band video game releases September 9 with the hopes of rekindling the craze from older fans, and winning over a newer generation of fans. To further fuel the Beatles craze, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI will release the Beatles' 12 albums digitally remastered on Wednesday as well. And retailers, including corporate partnerships like Starbucks and Blockbuster, are contributing to the hopes of reaching a newer audience by stocking stores with Beatles merchandise and displays.

The San Antonio Express reports the potential competition between the Beatles and another iconic musician, Michael Jackson. Jackson is currently ranked as 2009's top selling artist. He has sold 4.8 million solo albums, largely due to the artist's recent death. But, with the buzz and anticipation surrounding the Beatles' releases, Jackson may lose in sales to the Beatles second invasion. New Beatles CD box sets and "The Beatles: Rock Band" are already raking in with pre-order sales.
