Michael Jackson Paid Tribute at Upcoming VMAs

Janet Jackson will pay tribute to brother Michael this Sunday at the MTV VMAs, hosted by Russell Brand and featuring the stars of "Twilight" among others.

The upcoming MTV Video Music Awards will be another opportunity to honor the late Michael Jackson. Janet Jackson is to perform a musical tribute as the show opens live this Sunday night. This is just one of the talked about acts in the star-studded event. Lady Gaga and Beyonce are neck and neck in nine nominations, competing for Best Video of the Year. Both divas will perform at the awards, as well as Green Day, Jay-Z, Pink and Taylor Swift. Of course, it wouldn't be a teen-targeted awards show without the appearance of the "Twilight" stars. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will appear in the show, offering an extended trailer of "New Moon," set to release Nov. 20. The show's host will once again be Russell Brand; the comedian hosted the awards last year. The show airs from Radio City Music Hall at 9 p.m.
