Taylor Swift nominated for four CMAs

Swift receives top nominations for Country Music Awards.

Taylor Swift has been nominated for four Country Music Awards this year, an impressive number for any artist. The 19-year-old country singer has been nominated for Music Video, Album of the Year, Female Vocalist, and Entertainer of the Year. Swift reportedly refused an early tip off of her nominations, stating that she would rather find out the nominations like any other person would.

Swift, winner of the CMA's Horizon Award for new artist in 2007, is the youngest person to be nominated for the entertainer of the year award. She is also the first female solo artist to receive the nomination since 2000; the last female artist was Faith Hill. She joins Keith Urban, George Strait, Brad Paisley, and Kenny Chesney.

Swift's CD, "Fearless," has sold more than three million copies. The CMAs are in their 43rd year and are scheduled to air November 11 on ABC. Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley are scheduled to host.
