Courtney Love wants to sue Activision

Courtney Love is planning to sue Activision for inclusion of Kurt Cobain in "Guitar Hero 5." Love, Cobain's widow, claims that his likeness was used without her consent.

Love has posted a multitude of updates on her Twitter about the situation. Here's one of her posts directed at Activision, "For the record this Guitar Hero shit is breach of contract on a Bullys part and there will be a proper addressing of this and retraction," Love wrote via Twitter. "WE are going to sue the shit out of Activision we being the Trust the Estate the LLC the various LLCs Cobain Enterprises."

However, Love's accusations of Activision may be misguided, or false. Activision, in a statement to TeamXbox.com, is reported to have said, "Guitar Hero secured the necessary licensing rights from the Cobain estate in a written agreement signed by Courtney Love to use Kurt Cobain's likeness as a fully playable character in Guitar Hero 5."
