Things Get Turned Inside Out on "Project Runway"
With only 13 designers left, the competition gets tough on the Sept. 10 episode of Lifetime's "Project Runway." This week the contestants had to make their models happy by creating a chic and fashionable garment in the "What a Woman Wants" challenge.
The garment was to be worn at a modeling industry event where the models had to standout and represent "Project Runway."
Qristyl Frazier, 42, of New York had trouble from the get go when her model wanted a dress in black, which Frazier was uncomfortable working with. Things got worse for Frazier after Tim Gun told her that her dresses looked like her model had been "rolling around in bed." Frazier then scrapped the dress all together and started to make a little black dress like her model wanted originally.
Frazier ended up making a garment that looked cheap and aged her model "10-15 years, which in the modeling world is like dog years," host Heidi Klum tells her. In the end, Frazier was "out," as Klum says.
Althea Harper, 25, of New York on the other hand wowed the judges with her 3-piece suit complete with an extremely short skirt and smoker jacket. She won the "What Women Want" challenge.
Carol Hannah Whitfield, 24, of New York came in a close second after she sewed a beautiful dress that played with "soft and hard" elements.
