Johnny Depp Announces New "Pirates" Film At D23 Expo

On Friday, Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at the D23 Expo in Anaheim to announce that there will be another "Pirates" film entitled "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."

Johnny Depp is not done with Captain Jack Sparrow quite yet.

Depp surprised fans at the D23 Expo on Friday by sailing in on a pirate ship and announcing that he will be starring in a new installment in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise.

The new film will be titled "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," and there are rumors that the storyline will involve a search for the Fountain of Youth.

Depp worked the crowd and cracked jokes about Kermit the Frog who had been on stage earlier that day.

"Has anyone else witnessed a talking frog?" Depp joked. "Where has the frog gone?"

Depp is also playing the Mad Hatter in the upcoming Disney remake of "Alice in Wonderland," and Walt Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook recently announced that Depp will be playing Tonto in Disney's upcoming adaption of "The Lone Ranger."
