WWE Wrestler Jeff Hardy Arrested for Steroid Possession, Drug Trafficking
TMZ is reporting that the Moore County Sheriff's Office in Cameron, North Carolina executed a search warrant earlier today at the home of WWE Wrestler Jeff Hardy, where they found 555 milliliters of anabolic steroids, a residual amount of cocaine, 180 Soma Pills, 262 Vicodin Pills and other drug paraphernalia. Jeff's brother and former tag team partner in the WWE, Matt Hardy, posted bail, which was set at $125,000.
According to the police report issued by The Moore County Police Department, Hardy was arrested on charges of felony trafficking in opium, two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling to keep controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Moore County Police Department is estimating that the street value of the drugs in Hardy's possession totals approximately $2,500. A joint investigation was conducted by The Fayetteville Police Department, The Moore County Sheriff's Office Select Enforcement Unit and officers from the Moore County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit on suspicion of Hardy's drug possession.
Hardy has already provided a statement in response to his arrest on his Twitter account, where he typed, "A lot of exaggerations are out there today. Don't believe everything you read 4 it is not true. I am at home and fine - thanks for your concern."
