A collection of Andy Warhol paintings has been stolen from a home in Los Angeles.

The paintings belonged to Richard Weisman and included a painting of Muhammad Ali and O. J. Simpson.

Weisman's nanny realized that the paintings were gone and called the police.

The rest of the house was untouched, including other valuable artwork owned by Weisman, and Detective Mark Sommer of the Los Angeles Police Department's art theft detail stated, "This was a very clean crime. . . . For some reason they had an interest in this collection."

In 2002, Weisman attempted to sell the collection for $3 million but was unsuccessful, and he is offering a $1 million reward for any information regarding the robbery.

Weisman is an avid art collector and author of the book, "Picasso to Pop: The Richard Weisman collection."
