Pirates Earns Its Fourth Name
Anticipators of the fourth "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie can start calling the feature film by its newly acquired title, On Stranger Tides, reports mtv.com. The film will be coming to theaters the summer of 2010. Next on the agenda for the series is an emphasis on the Captain's character development. Plot-wise, Sparrow and his band of merry men will be searching for something called the "Fountain of Youth."
The title was announced at the During the Disney Fan Convention at the Anaheim Convention Center, at which Johnny Depp made his entrance as Captain Jack Sparrow by sailing onto the stage.
Appearances by other Disney icons also were made, such as Miley Cyrus and Walt Disney Studios Chairman Dick Cook. The chairman announced, after an orchestral introduction, the various plans that have been made for the company's future, including "Disney Double Dare You," a department gearing the creation of edgier and scarier genres of film.
