Earlier this morning on ABC's "The View," "Jon & Kate Plus 8" co-star Kate Gosselin served as a special guest co-host. During her appearance on the show, Gosselin discussed a meltdown that she suffered over the weekend as a result of her estranged husband's relationship with 22-year-old Hailey Glassman.

She referred to how she is having difficulty not knowing what types of things are going to be thrown her way on a daily basis and she also clarified that the phrase, "For the sake of my children" is not simply a cliche that she relies on to explain her behavior.

Gosselin refused to go into specific detail in regards to her weekend meltdown, which she claimed to have experienced in the privacy of her own home. She told her fellow co-hosts on "The View," "The truth, for the sake of my children, I am going to continue taking the high road because it is the only road for me. It is not easy."

According to People.com, when Gosselin was asked by Joy Behar about how she could place her personal life on television for the world to see, Gosselin explained that she needs the money nowadays since she is a single mother who appreciates the paycheck.
