Obama Thinks Kanye West Is a "Jackass"

President Barack Obama assumed that he was off the record when he conveyed his opinion of rapper Kanye West to a CNBC anchorman before a camera interview Monday. Obama should know that, with the media, nothing is private nowadays.

"Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a 'jackass' for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT's presidential," ABC anchorman Terry Moran twittered, according to shortnews.com.

Now, TMZ has discovered the audiotape containing President Obama's comments.

"I thought that was really inappropriate. . . . He's a jackass," President Obama clearly states on the tape.

Now, Obama is saying, "Cut the President some slack."

Of course, Obama was referring to the way Kanye West stole Taylor Swift's microphone and bombarding her acceptance speech on MTV's Video Music Awards, Sunday. He has since apologized on the first episode of the "Jay Leno Show," Monday.
