Dancing Causes Injury to Tom DeLay

Tom DeLay, ex-congressman, endured a pre-stress fracture in his foot which he expressed via Twitter. DeLay was preparing for his debut on "Dancing sith the Stars" when the injury occurred. Also around noon he stated on his twitter, "Old age is catching up to me, may have a stress fracture in my foot. no worries, it'll take more than that to keep me off the dance floor!"

The Texan native is paired with Cheryl Burke; two-time winner and last year's runner-up. DeLay, 62, is having his foot examined in Los Angeles. Doctors will determine if he is capable to continue with the show.

Tom DeLay is not the first participant to injure themselves and most likely will not be the last. Already, Mark Dacascos, the chairman of Iron Chef America bruised his foot. Dacascos was injured from demonstrating martial-arts to his partner Lacy Schwimmer.

"Dancing with the Stars" will premiere its ninth season Monday, September 21, on ABC.
