Fashion Is Black

The stars are shining through in the "Big Apple" as the New York Fashion Week kicks off. New York is the undisputed king of fashion here in America and everyone from Kirsten Dunst, Elija Wood, Jason Schwartzman, and other celebrities like P Diddy has gathered to see the new trends and fresh creations in fashion. The runway was filled with smoke, while the lights shadowed through and created a theme of darkness. Models were outlined in fabrics with the presence of a dusky gloom. "You've heard what the new black is? it's black," said Ross Matthews, host and former intern of the Jay Leno "Tonight Show." While the theme of the week is black, designer Marc Jacobs lit up the stage with his Marc by Marc Jacobs show. His collection of bright colors crashing with artistic patterns left the crowd wanting more. Other designers presenting were Rodarte, Vera Wang, Badgley Mischka, Max Azria, Betsey Johnson, Jill Stuart, Kai Milla, J. Mendel, and Gottex.
