Chris Brown Serves First Day of Community Service Duty Today
MTV.com is reporting that R&B singer Chris Brown has begun his 180-day community service requirement earlier today in Richmond, Virginia. The 180 days of community labor that Brown will be serving over the next six months stem from the sentence he received from the assault of former girlfriend, fellow R&B singer Rihanna, back in February.
Brown has launched a new website called MechanicalDummy.com where he uploaded various digital photographs that were taken today as he picked up garbage off the side of the road. Over the next six months, Brown will be required to perform a variety of community service tasks such as removing graffiti, washing vehicles and picking up trash, as he did today.
The multi-platinum selling R&B singer has maintained a noticeably low profile ever since the news broke that he had assaulted Rihanna earlier this year. While he is not expected to make many media appearances in the coming weeks, Brown has been frequently providing status updates on his Twitter account.
On Tuesday night, Brown posted a link to a video he created that featured photographs of him and Rihanna with the song "Changed Man" playing in the background on his Twitter page. After posting a message that insinuated how much he missed his ex-girlfriend, Brown deleted it within a few hours, replacing it with words of frustration by typing "I ain't postin' s--- else about me [personally], I'm so over this bull----."
