Abercrombie and Fitch Sues Beyonce Knowles

The hip-hop starlet had been mentioning that she was soon to be launching her own signature fragrance with Coty Inc. yesterday. Today, she gets sued by major preppy clothes supplier Abercrombie & Fitch. Apparently the company believes that her new fragrance named after her alter ego "Sasha Fierce" will confuse buyers who want to purchase Abercrombie & Fitch's "Fierce."

A&F had filed suit against Knowles in Columbus, Ohio and claims that they had "sent Beyonce a cease and desist letter in 2008 when she started applying for "Sasha Fierce" trademarks." according to .

"Fierce" has been on the market since 2002 and has earned $200 million for A&F. Knowles has long been known as Sasha Fierce and even has an album named "I am ... Sasha Fierce."

The fact of the matter is that A&F's "Fierce" is a male cologne that comes in a container that looks like a man's washboard abs. Chances are that it probably won't get confused with Knowles' feminine perfume called "Sasha". Back off Abercrombie!
