Katherine Heigl and Husband Josh Kelley Introduce Baby Nancy Leigh
Actress Katherine Heigl and her singer-songwriter husband, Josh Kelley, have released photos of their new family portrait featuring their newly adopted baby girl, Nancy Leigh. The "Grey's Anatomy" actress has given the baby girl the nickname, Naleigh.
"I am naming her after my mother [Nancy] and sister [Margaret Leigh] Nancy, Leigh. So we call her Naleigh."
The couple adopted the 10-month-old baby girl from Korea. Heigl, 30, discussed plans for the adoption on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" last week.
"They sent us a picture. They told us that it was a little girl and who she was and the information about six months ago. . . . It was meant to take a long time. This sort of thing can take years."
Because Naleigh is a "special needs baby," the adoption process was sped up. "They wanted to get her to us as quickly as possible," Heigl told Ellen.
Katherine Heigl's spokesperson, Melissa Kates, tells the Associated Press that the new happy family is doing great.
The new photos of Heigl, Kelley and baby Naleigh can be found at Heigl's animal rescue foundation Web site.
