Katherine Jackson, mother of the late Michael Jackson, is to receive $86,000 a month from Michael Jackson's estate. The money is to take care of herself and her three grandchildren from Michael Jackson. According to People.com, Mrs. Jackson was dependent on Michael throughout his life; he in fact paid for her living expenses at the Jackson family home in Encino, California. Jackson's total assets are reportedly around $500 million, plenty to keep the Jackson children and their grandmother going for a while. All four family members were direct beneficiaries in Jackson's 2002 will, along with a few other charities. In addition to the $500 million, future deals using Michael Jackson's name are no doubt to be expected and estimated to be worth tens of millions of dollars. It will take years to settle the family trust, but estate administrators received court approval to give Mrs. Jackson her allowance.
