Miss America Finds A New Home

After being networkless for 8 months, CMT adopted the pageant

After ABC abandoned its pageant child, Miss America, last year, the program was network-less for eight months. Thanks to the country music network, CMT, the gorgeous ladies from all over the country have a home again. A two-year deal was struck between the pageant and the network to begin next January with possibilities of a renewal until 2011. But it seems the pretty ladies are not too happy about their move from ABC to CMT. "I feel like they're going to alienate a whole segment of their viewership because not everybody knows CMT or would even watch CMT," said Miss America 1999 Nicole Johnson Baker. "It sounds so ridiculous -- we go from ABC to CMT, and there's nothing in between?" Johnson and her fellow pageantries should be thankful they didn't instead end up on E! True Hollywood Story, Why Everyone Abandoned Miss America.
