Susan Boyle Impresses on "America's Got Talent"
British singer, Susan Boyle, made her U.S. debut last night on the "America's Got Talent" finale. The singer broke out on the British version of the show, and she wowed America with her performance.
Boyle performed a cover of the popular Rolling Stones song "Wild Horses." Although the song started out slowly (the first verse was not particularly inspiring), she pulled it off with the rest of the songs. Her choice to shift the chorus up an octave was a nice take on the song, making the desperation of the original piece sound loudly. Although she did not include the third verse, Boyle stuck the landing with confidence.
Boyle is scheduled to release her album, "I Dreamed a Dream," this November 24th. The 48-year-old singer rose to fame last April, giving an inspiring performance on "Britain's Got Talent." However, she was unable to deal with the attention and was admitted to a London rehab clinic to deal with the anxiety.
