Fast Food Nation director casts Rebecca Hall in latest dramedy
Richard Linklater, director of the Ethan Hawke/Julie Delpy romantic films, 1995's "Before Sunrise" and 2004's "Before Sunset," has cast Rebecca Hall in his latest project, a dramedy, entitled "Liars A-E."
Hall made her presence known in Hollywood, thanks to her role in 2008's "Vicky Christina Barcelona" opposite Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson.
According to an article on HollywoodReporter.com, "The actress will play the role of Bacall Loomis, a woman who sets out on a road trip during the Obama inauguration to reclaim items that used to be hers from ex-boyfriends."
Other cast members include Kat Dennings, who starred in 2008's "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" as a friend of the Loomis character. Miramax and Scott Rudin, who was the executive producer of 2009's "Julie & Julia," will be collaborating on "Liars A-E."
Hall earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the Woody Allen-directed "Vicky" and is represented by Julian Belfrage & Associates and William Morris Endeavor Entertainment (WME).
The HollywoodReporter.com article concluded by mentioning, "She's [Hall] next to star in the Nicole Holofcener dramedy, 'Please Give,' as well as the Ben Affleck heist drama, 'The Town.'"
Hall's previous credits include starring in the 2008 Ron Howard-directed historical drama, "Frost/Nixon," opposite Hollywood heavyweight Frank Langella as well as Michael Sheen, Kevin Bacon, Sam Rockwell and Oliver Platt. Hall also starred in the 2006 Hugh Jackman/Christian Bale/Michael Caine thriller, "The Prestige."
