Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Sued for Wedding Shoot Out
Two photographers have filed a lawsuit against Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen, seeking more than $1 million in damages regarding an incident at the couple's Costa Rica wedding earlier this year. Their lawsuit claims the couple was negligent in hiring and training their security guards.
The photographers claim they received proper clearance to shoot pictures from a nearby property, but that one of Tom's security guards demanded a camera and memory cards anyway. According to TMZ, one of the photographers says he "managed to run off and escape" but the other claims he was "grabbed by the bodyguard, his arm twisted behind him and immobilized."
The photographers claim that five men then joined in and refused to let the captive photographer go. They were eventually allowed to leave, but not before the security team instructed them to drive up to Gisele's residence to discuss the matter. When the men tried to drive away, they claim "the Brady/Bundchen bodyguards opened fire with pistols."
However, in May, Brady told Sports Illustrated that the allegations of shots being fired by his security team were "absolute total B.S."
He said his team did not use firearms when trying to evict photographers from the wedding grounds.
"We found two guys on our property, and we told them to get out," he said. "Our security guys didn't even have guns. There were no shots fired."
