Heather Locklear Is Back Again to Save the Day
Dej... vu seems to surround the new "Melrose Place." The CW's new nighttime soap opera (based on the 1990s Fox show of the same name) is turning to Heather Locklear to help steer them out of a potential ratings nightmare. Ratings have slipped 21 percent from its premiere episode and signs are starting to point south. Locklear joined the old "Melrose" cast when their ratings started to fumble in its first season. When Locklear took her famed role as ruthless advertising executive Amanda Woodward, ratings climbed and the show seemed to get a lot juicier and more, well, soapy.
Locklear will reprise her role as Amanda in an episode that will air Nov. 17. The CW has not specified in how many more episodes we can expect Locklear to appear. The show is a continuation and remake of the original, featuring two former cast members, Laura Leighton and Thomas Calabro.
