New Shows Premiere Tonight

New series premiere tonight, including "NCIS: Los Angeles," "The Good Wife" and "The Forgotten."

Last night marked the return of popular shows like "House" and "Heroes." Tonight, the fall series openers are underway. In investigative crime drama fashion, a new "NCIS" premieres tonight, featuring Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J. "NCIS: Los Angeles" deals with criminals who are a national threat to security, and promises to be more action packed (9 p.m., CBS).

Julianna Margulies returns to television in the highly anticipated "The Good Wife." Margulies must deal with her husband's (Chris Noth) very public political scandals. She decides to head back to work as a lawyer, but must work alongside junior associates (10 p.m., CBS).

Will Christian Slater keep a job in TV? "The Forgotten" premieres tonight, with Slater as part of a team that helps identify murder victims. The hope is to both catch the suspect and bring families closure (10 p.m., ABC).

Ratings will show whether Margulies or Slater will prevail.
