Search of the Garrido Property Reveals Little

No sign of other abducted children found.

The weeklong search of Phillip and Nancy Garrido's property did not reveal any connection to the disappearances of Michaela Garecht and Ilene Misheloff in 1988 and 1989.

After obtaining search warrants for the Garrido residence and the adjacent property, police from Hayward and Dublin conducted an extensive search that lasted a week, CNN reports. They found no conclusive evidence that the Garridos could be connected to the abductions of the other two girls. However, they have not been eliminated as suspects.

According to the Associated Press, the officers brought in search dogs and archaeological experts to search the hidden encampment where Jaycee Dugard had been held for 18 years.

Lt. Chris Orrey said, "While we did not locate any definitive evidence that provides answers, this operation still holds much value and much potential value. We will walk away from these properties knowing that we left no stone unturned." Orrey confirmed that the property would be searched again.

Although none of the clothing, teeth, or bone fragments could be linked to Garecht or Misheloff, KYTX writes that everything found will still be examined, and there are still documents to sort through.

Garecht's mother said on Tuesday that she was relieved that her daughter wasn't found on the property because she is "still hoping to find Michaela alive."
