Ellen Pompeo Adds to September Babies
Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo gave birth to a baby girl Sept. 15; it is the first child for she and husband Chris Ivery
It's a big year for celebrity births. In addition to the recent arrivals of Nicole Richie's son and Sarah Michelle Gellar's daughter, Ellen Pompeo just added to the mix of September babies.
Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery was born Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, the first child for the actress (29) and her husband Chris Ivery (41), a music producer.
The couple were married back in 2007 in a small ceremony. They had announced the pregnancy back in April.
A baby shower was reportedly thrown for Pompeo by co-star and recent mom Katherine Heigl (Heigl adopted a baby girl from Korea).
The set of "Grey's" is experiencing a baby boom. Co-star Chyler Leigh gave birth to a baby girl in April.
Pompeo will be absent from a few episodes this season due to her maternity leave. The sixth season of "Grey's Anatomy" begins Sept. 24 in a two-hour premiere.
