Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees: This Will Be Tricky

Nominees were announced for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, almost all are big names like Red Hot Chili Peppers and Donna Summer

It's a big year for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The 12 nominations announced include some of the biggest names in the past 30 years of music. They are: ABBA, The Chantels, Jimmy Cliff, Genesis, The Hollies, KISS, LL Cool J, Darlene Love, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Stooges and Donna Summer. Quite an eclectic mix. However, only five of these legendary artists will be inducted into the famed institution in March. My two cents would be for The Stooges and Donna Summer.

The annual ceremony is being held at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. Thus begins the voting process carried out by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, which will announce its finalists in January. Artists are eligible for consideration after 25 years of their first album recording. This year's inductees included Jeff Beck, Metallica, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Run-D.M.C. and Bobby Womack.
