CBS, "NCIS" Dominate Tuesday Night
CBS dominated Tuesday night with the season seven premier of "NCIS," boasting around 21 million viewers.
The new spin-off series, "NCIS: LA," premiered after and retained 90 percent of its lead in program with about 19 million viewers. Another new show, the lawyer drama "The Good Wife," followed with 13.7 million viewers.
Only four programs made it to double digits, and three of them were on CBS. The network had its best Premier Week Tuesday in 16 years, the Washington Post reports.
ABC lagged behind in second place for the night with the two-hour "Dancing With the Stars" premier with 15.2 million. After "Dancing," ABC kicked off Jerry Bruckheimer's new "The Forgotten" which snagged slightly under 10 million viewers. Over on NBC, "The Jay Leno Show" enjoyed a slight boost in ratings with 6.8 million viewers.
