A temporary restraining order has been issued to "Gossip Girl" star Kelly Rutherford against her estranged husband, German entrepreneur Daniel Giersch. Rutherford was granted the order after filing documents at the Los Angeles Superior Court claiming Giersch repeatedly harassed her and has been following the actress, her family and nanny and "shows up unexpectedly to threaten and scare us."

The couple filed for divorce in December and is currently involved in a bitter custody suit over their two children, 3-year-old son, Hermes, and their 2-month-old-daughter, Helena.

In the court documents, Rutherford's nanny Michaela Kothanova claimed she quit due to the stress Giersch caused her during custody exchanges. Kothanova also alleged Giersch threatened to sue her after she refused to answer his repeated questions about Rutherford.

Giersch's lawyer Fahi Takesh Hallin denied the claims, calling them "fabricated accusations" intended to harm Giersch's reputation, People reports.

"Daniel will remain focused on co-parenting both of their children and not make any personal comments in order to continue to protect the children's need for privacy and well being," says Hallin.

The order is in effect for 21 days and requires that Giersch maintain at least a 100-yard distance from Rutherford and the two children. A court hearing to review evidence is set for Oct. 15.
