Woman Gives Birth To Another Couple's Child

Carolyn Savage went to a fertility plant to undergo in vitro fertilization, with hopes of becoming pregnant. Ten weeks after the procedure Savage was contacted with news that she was pregnant, however, is what the news which followed after that sent her into tears.

The clinic where Savage went to have the procedure performed had transplanted the wrong embryos. Savage was carrying another couple's baby. Savage and her husband made the choice to carry the baby and give him to his biological parents after birth.

Savage did not release the name of the clinic that performed the in vitro fertilization, nor the physician who cared for her. However, she did provide proof of tests and results that the child she was carrying was not hers.

Soon after the baby boy was born, Savage released him to his parents, as promised. Savage sent her best wishes to the parents of the baby boy she had given birth to and congratulated them on the new life they were adding to their family.
