Pakistan Bombings Kill 17

Suicide bomb attacks in Pakistan injures over 90 people.

After months of no activity, Peshawar, Pakistan, suffered 3 bomb attacks Saturday. Nearly 100 people were injured and 17 deaths were confirmed.

The violent attacks seemed to be a premeditated effort by rebellious radicals to strike back against the Pakistani army, which has been performing an operation towards then since the spring.

According to the Pakistan Instituted for Peace Studies, actions had seen success as the death totals were down to their lowest stage a month ago. But these bombings accentuated the ability of militants, as the attacks hit a military site less than a mile from the United States Consulate.

The inspector general of police for North-West Frontier Province, Malik Naveed stated," The suicide bombings appeared to be the work of the Taliban", but authorities claimed the perpetrators had not been determined.

Western bureaucrats said the Taliban and its followers have been responsible for nearly 80 percent inside Pakistan.
