Kanye West: Too Much Hennessey?
Some are speculating whether Kanye West's stunt at the VMAs was due to his alcohol consumption and whether or not he'll be attending rehab.
It was only a matter of time before the press found the perfect way to spin Kanye West's thunder-stealing at the MTV VMAs: alcoholism.
West is now notorious for stealing the mic away from Taylor Swift mid-speech to say that Beyonce's video was superior. A very public apology on both his blog and "The Jay Leno Show" don't appear to be enough.
Thanks to the footage of West drinking Hennessey on the red carpet, some publications -- such as the UK tabloid The Daily Star -- are attributing his behavior to alcohol, and suggesting a potential rehab stint after his upcoming tour with Lady Gaga.
West has not indicated such an inclination, and the rumors could simply be fabricated to sell magazines. However, celebrities in the past have often tried to rectify bad behavior by announcing the necessity for rehab. One famous instance involved San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom being caught with his campaign manager's wife and soon after admitting to alcohol problems.
