Melrose Place: Meeting Jane

The latest episode of Melrose Place opened with David sharing an intimate time with a pretty brunette, only to find out that he's being watched. Back at the apartment complex, the rest of the gang hangs out by the pool for a few drinks but the festivities soon come to an end when Jane Andrews, Sydney's sister, introduces herself as the new landlord. When Ella comes to ask about moving into Sydney's apartment the conversation turns into Jane blackmailing Ella with nasty emails she had sent to Sydney before her death. In return for her silence Jane wants Ella to get Abby Douglas to wear one of her dresses. Since her boutique burned down Jane is looking to get back into business.

At the restaurant, David offers to help Auggie after 4 of the servers quit. The police arrive to interview Violet about Sydney's death but she becomes a suspect when she tries to run. Jonah shares with Riley that he is a little upset about not getting a big break like his old college buddy, Zach. To Jane's delight, Ella manages to convinces her boss and Abby about Jane's dress. Violet shows up after Abby's fitting and reveals Jane that she's Sydney's daughter and she's running from the cops. Jane gets Violet to trust her but turns her in.

On the night of the red carpet affair, Ella tells David that she is not sucking up to Jane because she wants to. Lauren agrees to meet with Toby, but while waiting for him at a hotel, she is mistaken for a prostitute. While at the gathering, Riley manages to make Jonah look good as an artist with some witty responses. After trying to call several others, Violet gets a hold of Riley and tells her she's in jail, and she leaves the party to help her.

Violet's questioned by the police and tells them she's Syndey's daughter and says she ran because she is scared of the police. The man that mistakes Lauren for a hooker comes back after she's been stood up by Toby, and they retire to his hotel room together. After spotting the man that had been following him, David finds out he works for his dad and gets into an altercation that results in David being fired. After she finds out that Jane intends to continue to blackmail her, Ella chooses to take her chances rather than let Jane take advantage of her.

At the hotel, Lauren is assaulted after asking the guy to pay her. After almost getting arrested, Lauren is 'saved' by a Ms. Madison who also mistakes as a hooker and offers her a job, but she is turned down. David offers to bring down Jane for Ella because she had been married to his father. He confronts Jane but she isn't scared of him, and later, she still calls the police on Ella. Everyone else finds out about Violet and Sydney. Lauren calls Ms. Madison back and takes a job with her.
