Cougar Town is Funny

Episode two proved funnier than the first, with more characters more involved

I've got to admit. I'm kind of digging "Cougar Town." Last night's episode was particularly uproarious and I realized something. Courteney Cox should have had her own show long ago. Here she really shows her comedic talent and inherent goofiness.

Episode two featured Jules clumsily trying to hang with the 20-year-old crowd, having realized she lost out on that decade. One scene involves Jules at work (showing a house), still drunk from the night before. She tells her coworker/bad influence Laurie (Busy Philipps) there's no way she'll feel hung-over later. Cut to Jules dunking her head in the pool.

Jules also decides to be neighborly, and declares that she and Grayson from across the street (Josh Hopkins) will be newspaper buddies in the morning. Grayson's not interested. In fact, Grayson's other neighbors are bugging him too. Andy (husband to Ellie, Jules' best friend, played hilariously by Ian Gomez) stops by with beer and pizza to hang out. Grayson doesn't stay and tells him to lock up when he's done. This suits Andy fine.

Besides the impeccable cast, "Cougar Town" is proving itself in the writing. I will definitely be tuning in next week to see if Jules will give it up.
